First silkie babies! Progression pictures/sex guesses for funsies!

I know. They’re Mille fluer project chicks, 1st generation from another breeders new Mille line. Mom was a pure silkie and dad was a d’uccle/silkie cross with Mille pattern. Trouble and Dixie both also have single combs if you look closely, so I will not be breeding them and eventually I will find someone to take them as pet quality birds. Interestingly enough they do all have 5 toes though. My goal is to work on a Mille project on my own and work on getting the Mille pattern right and getting good walnut combs, black skin, etc.

There’s been some great progress on the Mille pattern for silkies in the last few years by some very hardworking breeders.
