First Time Hatching....Round 2

I have been so preoccupied lately I forgot to let everyone know that I had a 96% hatch rate with my round 2 earlier this week. On the same day that they hatched, I had a Cackle order come in with 18 more. So it's been crazy around here. I just set 23 Barred Rock eggs that I bought from a lady in Tyler. Will candle at Day 4 to check fertility and then will fill in the rest of the incubator with my sex link eggs. So that would make me on Round 3!!!

Anyone with me????

ok, I got home from work to find one EE hatched, and nothing else yet. The other pipped egg has not progressed, and all the banty eggs are just sittin' there!

I know I am being impatient--it is just day 20, but I want my peeps!

came home to seven hatched and six pips

took the dog for a walkie and there are now eight with five pips

eight are quiet

Tomorrow at 3:00 pm is day 21. I came home to one EEgger hatched and one pipped. So far that's it.....

Sounds like everone is progressing great. There should be plenty of baby chicks this spring.
We are behind you all a few days, and the wait is terrible. I can't hardly stand it

We planned it so they wouldn't hatch while my granddaughter was away this weekend. We have been running a little cooler temps this time because our first batch hatched about two days early. Due date is Tuesday.

ok, it's 5:00 am, and I just had to wake up and see what happened in the brinsea overnight.

There are 3 additional EE/ wellie/ maran/new hampshire mix chicks hatched-- these are the eggs from my barnyard, and...... ONE banty--- a little black one!

from the eggs that were shipped. Some more pips, too!
