Idk, the R.O. looks like it's complicated and seems to take up a lot of room. From looking at reviews, a lot of people think the slow return is a problem. On all of them.

We only have the smaller under the sink ones for our drinking water. The whole house ones I would bet are expensive. You could try just a regular whole house filter or speak to someone like culligan to get an idea.

I’m sure this probably has to do with the water change I did the other day. I feel awful I didn’t notice and wonder if I could have saved him if I had he seemed fine after so

Yeah. Well, one of them haha and yeah, he was doing fine so idk why he would have died. He must have died from the water change, maybe stunned or something, and I’ve been busy so haven’t really checked them much since I feel awful I didn’t notice. Weird thing is I’ve been in that room a lot lately and started sleeping in there again and have still been feeding them but yet I didn’t notice I don’t think he has been dead long though so

Weird thing is both my bettas that died have been veil tails, which I thought were one of the hardier kinds, yet I brought my dragon scale back from near death and he’s been fine.

When a betta dies it goes funky pretty quickly. Within 12 hours it looks like it's been dead a long time.

Many of mine are healthy one day and dead the next. It's like they have an expiration date on them.

Yeah, he has like a green or brownish line on him?

And yeah, I only got him in November and he was doing fine so

I feel awful for killing him

I thought so but wasn’t sure. In a way I’m glad because it means I didn’t totally fail in not noticing/letting him sit there a long time but at the same time I’m not because I loved him and wish I knew what happened. I guess it maybe wasn’t the water change then? If it was recent?

So do I have to do a complete water change now before I add any other fish or plants? I might just not get another fish and just stick with Draco for now but it’s all set up and I have a lot of plants and stuff so idk. Would I have to completely switch out the gravel and filter and heater and everything? I don’t think he was sick or anything. Maybe just shock or something.
