Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Im at $500 so far. But thats from the start of January so im going pretty good. Im on track at the moment as long as something doesn't happen and I need to use it. Touch wood that doesn't happen. Jordan wants to have it all completed in 1 weekend! He will have the crew of mates to heap but I said I don't want it rushed. I want a quality job. Not slapped together. But also. Ill then have to feed them all and put beers on which I dont mind but im not letting them drink until the days finished.
Smart girl! The beers are for when the job's done or you might have a job like the Ettamogah pub. You are going great. Could be ready by the end of the year. So exciting!

I've heard that....we are in the Big Bend area of north Florida so we get heat but not as humid as further South really. I spent 30 years about 5 hours further south and on the east coast of Florida and that's probably worse heat and humidity wise but I'm interested to see how much better if any they tolerate the summer here than the rest of my flock. They are adorable though...
We used to live in the lower section of Florida :DWe lived in Ft. Pierce area and the humidity is crazy down there :sick. I originally came from Georgia and then moved there and now we live in NC :thumbsup

Well if i did my math right today is the day my quail eggs should hatch! is there anything special i need to do to coax them out? Should i stop turning the eggs? Ive been trying to read up but still wondering if there are even babies in there as candling has been difficult.

Hey lovely, to meet you. My names Krystal.
Ive never hatched but there is loads of people on this thread that have.

So it looks like ago the babies weathered the cold snap jyst fine. However I had something weird. Has anyone experienced this? I collected eggs and this one egg is just teeny tiny. Smaller than any egg I've seen from them.View attachment 1692693

It looks like a silkie egg but if you have regular hens then  so strange.

They are called fairy or fart eggs. I've only gotten two or three and I think mine were smaller. Just a pullet working out the kinks in the egg factory.
