Flock/Life Journey's 2019

I mean this is in THE nicest way possible... but maybe the duckling died because of the mold in their pool? :idunno I’m so sorry for your loss. :hugs

ETA: looks like just algae, not mold. Oops, I need to start wearing my glasses more often. :p

The green stuff on the surface of the water is algae which I do clean off every so often but I have read that it is Good for them as It contains lots of the nutrients they need, vitamins, minerals, and chlorophyll. And it contains lots of little bugs and larvae, and they'll get protein and niacin from that.

Water was clean and clear before she and her ducklings started playing around it.

Thanks for your concern though. :)

Wow! Thats beautiful! Id love to wake up to a view like that every morning! I love staying down the coast its so beautiful and the sunrise and sunset is just stunning!
It's not like this all year round. In summer everything is just incredibly washed out but as soon as it starts cooling off this happens. Old pic. I couldn't find the camera for this morning's sunrise but it was just as nice. :)

Ok, I have a dumb question. My lower pasture has a nice even layer of mold on parts of it. How do I fix it?
My hubby is a horticulturalist & though he says this is pretty much outside his experience he says the mold should go once your weather warms up. How dangerous it is depends on the sort of mold it is. Some stuff is pretty toxic.
