Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Lovely as ever! Here is my Lilly... she is looking beautiful! Can’t wait till she is fully grown... and wow... the personality of this girl... I love it! If I’m in there she MUST be next to me.. or ON me ... and if I’m out of the run she is pacing like crazy to get to me :love...View attachment 1755485View attachment 1755486View attachment 1755487

I want a bird like this! All my girls run away until they are caught. Then they are fine being held. However, none of them go out of their way to be with us. :hit:confused:

I can't go any longer. :( I got the man to build my roosts the full width of the coop as it is. They would do 30 birds easy & I only have 12. If I go in & stuff round I can get everyone up there ~ & I have done it if it's the little partridge bantam that gets left out just because she is so tiny & liable to feel the cold more. Plus she's really easy to squeeze in under somebody ~ usually the frizzle who also needs the extra warmth.

The BA in question has been molting for months. :( I was hoping for an easy molt but it is obviously going to be a full molt. *sigh* I really feel for her. It must be so uncomfortable & our weather is cooling off now. Plus she looks awful! Absolutely ratty.
I’m sorry love :( It always seems to be the little ones that get pushed to the side when it comes to roosting. Are you able to maybe have 2 small roosts instead:idunno I wish I had a good solution to it :hmm

That is awesome! My chickens only run up to me when I open the front door and when they hear the grub bag opening  My roo is the one that will actually follow me and knows his name also. Your pullet is absolutely beautiful and sounds super sweet! :love

Brahmas are really good at wanting to be near, I have a Blue Jersey Giant that follows me around and wants chest scratches...greedily!! she'll tap my leg if i'm taking too long to pick her up. :D :love

Giant breeds are really good at becoming cuddlers.

All my girls are running around in the coop TOGETHER!!!!!

This morning I let the hens out and the 2 month olds were going stir crazy so i let them out and sat in the coop to see how it went. Only a couple pecks to let the babies know to move but otherwise everyone was happy!!! Then the hens wanted to come in to lay and i didn't want to shut the girls in again, so i let it go, Mustard is a jerk. Cajun came in and laid, and then go up and roosted beside BBQ on the brooder ledge :celebrate:clap Mustard is still being a jerk but she laid.

The mystery is that I know Cajun laid but when we went to get it it had disappeared. :idunno:confused: We got the other one, son tripped though and it is a sad day in that area, but otherwise i'm excited!!! I'm going out to check on them every so often.
