Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Afternoon guys!

well... candling showed all were clear on our eggs :(:(. Hubs says let's just wait till February since here the days start getting longer again then. :idunnoSo we'll see.
Hersey (Australorp) and Pepper (brahma) are starting to test laying :wee:love:love so hope we get their first eggs soon!
We moved the 3 chick-teers out into a brooder in the stall, if they are girls they'll get integrated in, if boys they'll go into bigger pen to see who gets to stay.
I'm battling depression and anxiety so everything is just on hold for now. Come on spring!!!!

Howdy y'all:frowmystic longer days coming soon:hugsI'm battling some depression because of it too...come on spring!
We have too finish burying the fence Around the outside of the run andthen fence the top and add the coop. For now plywood is covering the spot where the coop will be attached and they're wandering around inside checking out their new digs. We enclosed the blackberry bush so they would have hiding places and snacks inside!

Would an SAD Light help?

MysticUniKitty sorry you are battling depression and anxiety. They pretty much go hand in hand. I used to hybridize a type of houseplant and had 5 light stands - about 6 feet tall and a bit over 4 ft.wide. 3 shelves each. Meant all together they had accounted for 15- plant light fixtures - each with one warm white fluorescent tube and one cool white on 10 hrs. or so a day, every day.

I spent most of my day near the lights, - can't say that it helped me any. But, then I was pretty much okay in winter because NO ONE was enjoying it. Summer when the whole world seemed to be perky and effervescent like a Coke commercial ,was when I'd would really be depressed and edgy.

Trial by error - till the right medication was found made, a big difference. But getting there took a big part of my life, that I can't get back. Wish I had started therapy a lot younger than 34.

that's pretty neat idea!

@FlockQueen thats looking awesome! I just need to buckle down and finally start digging holes for ours  I'm just scared of it... the dirt here is so solid i might as well try pick axing concrete :th
Thanks! Good to have some help again with all this. I could never have done it alone. we have a lot of roots here because it's all recently cleared and i can't handle a post hole digger to save my life :gigthe only thing that gets accomplished is the post digger being thrown across the yard:lau
