Permethrin 10 concentrate, both Gordons or Martins, available at TSC, is an inexpensive product that can be mixed with water according to the label instructions, and used with a spray bottle or garden sprayer to use every month in the coop to keep flies away. An 8 ounce bottle is about $8, makes many gallons of spray, and they have larger quantities. The screw worm spray is also permethrin.

I will have to look into that! Thank you! The more the merrier! I'll have to treat the cows barn too! The chickens like to hang out there

I don't know what I would do, if my roosters ever had that problem. They are with me all the time, and are my best friends. PS, My roo (JAFFAR), loves his comb and waddles gently rubbed. Then he practically falls asleep in my lap.:love
Can you believe it? Jaffar has fly strike. found him this morning covered in maggots. 6/3/2020
I'm soaking him, picking off the bugs, soaking again, the maggots are hard to kill. He was fine yesterday afternoon, but today WOW EMERGENCY! Now I know my rooster "DOES" have that problem.
