My turkey has Flystrike at her vent and I was on vacation the last week so I’m not sure how long it’s been there but I noticed it today. I quickly soaked her and wash the area just with water and then I removed the maggots which there were at least 30. The tissue seem to be deteriorating already and pretty raw it also smells infected . I’m not sure what to do . Please help :(

Can you post some pictures of it? Do you have any antibiotics?
Thank you for your reply and I’m sorry I never answered but what I did was first removed all the maggots and then we did a flush with hydrogen peroxide and vertermycin. After that we did a soak with Epson salt twice a day for 30 minutes and then sometimes we did it was antibacterial soap . Then after like a week we switch to one . We also got this insect prevention cream and globbed that on once we were sure all the maggots were out and neosporine a scab finally started to form and then we kept it moist to promote healing and it eventually fell off problem one of my greatest accomplishment. She is perfectly healthy now and her vent area is super pink and healthy !

These are pictures of the progress the first one is the healed area I couldn’t get a great picture
