For People In The North East......* Heat Wave* & *Bad Storms*

I will complain about the cold all I want, as long as it comes with a freakin' oil heating bill.

We have a woodstove, but sadly it only successfully heats about two and a half rooms in the house. I so want to get those chaise longue things for the parlor, so we can sleep near the woodstove, but new furniture ain't in the cards this year.

Dudes, it's almost 90 here and the humidity is insane. Is anyone else riddled with severe thunderstorms? We had a doozey last night and we have warnings until 8-9pm tonight again...

Well I just have to write and tell you all I am hoping a little of your heat comes this way. It has been between 50 and 65 and raining for a week. It isn't raining today, but they are forcasting rain for this coming week as well. We all sure would like to see some heat.

You DEFINATELY can have some of our heat. It's close to 100 here today and the humidity is unreal. I told DOH that I should just put the eggs from the bator outside!

They'd probably do great.

It's 102 here today with a heat index "at or above 105" says the weather people. I layed in the sun for about 10 minutes to get a bit of bronze in my color and came back in with a full on tan...in 10 minutes!

I have read on another tread that someone used 2 liter bottles and froze water in them and threw them in the run with the birds. THat's what I'm going to do as well this next summer. This summer they are still in our a/c house with us

98 here without adding humidity, I'm sure it's well over a hundred. This is August heat not June. Leave it to Michigan to be high 50's one day than 90's the next.

I went out to see how Obelisk was doing at 9:30 this morning and I checked the thermometer and it was already 95

In the summer I put ice packs on the chicken chair and she has a fan....she found a nice place in shade next to a tree and she's been wallowing there for the afternoon.
