Very beautiful dogs! do you use them as guard dogs? how do they stand up to the heat in Florida?

They say to not shave them as their coat acts as a sun screen. Mine are in with: 300 chickens, ducks, geese, peafowl, turkey, pheasants, 2 emu, horses, mini horses, a mini donkey, llamas, alpacas, a mini zebu bull, fainting goats, a hair sheep and a potbelly pig.. - they get pretty exposed to all types.....
