I'm really liking the ducks better than the chickens, but the mess is waaaaay more, lol...
Hens would make the boys wait to eat and they roosted in the corner of the coop for a long time... I'm really not joking when I say the hens rule the flocks here...

1 thing to try is wrapping them in that silver bubble wrap like insulation stuff... and are you using cool or warm water?

Yeah, I read that here too. I'm doing like room temp. Tomorrow we are back up in the 40's. Thank god! Single digits was too cold for me. The trio is coming tomorrow, Rav!!

Go more towards cold than room temp when outside is that cold... might help to keep it from freezing quite as fast... can't wait to see the trio!!!
