Friendliest Duck Breeds?

Calls are seasonal layers only, but how well they lay depends on lines and whether they're super tiny SQ or larger PQ... my PQ and BQ ones lay fairly well... my Snowy line lays much less...

I have had them with Rouen mixes and Swedish just fine... but, if you have a standard sized drake, I do not recommend Calls with them, they can seriously injure if not kill the smaller ducks...
That's exactly what I was worried about. I figured with how violent drakes can be, disaster looms!
I do have a large fenced garden - Maybe I'll set something up for a pair in there sometime. What variety is the bird in your photo?

A pair wouldn't need a large space, and Calls are much gentler on gardens than anything else, duck or chicken, lol...

The one in the pic is Button, my tiniest Snowy duck... she weighs less than 500 grams, fully grown...

Awesome - Back to that inner child squeezing issue I have!
Good to know on the garden thing. I had read somewhere that ducks would leave garlic alone... HAH! Wrong. They are only allowed in under strict supervision now.

I think too it depends on personality. I brought home 7 baby ducks yesterday and out of them have 2 super chill and cuddly ones....

Sorry if I sound like a dope here... i which forum should I post a "looking for ___ ducks" post? I'm not new but I'm not a quick learner.
Are you wanting to see if someone locally has the ducks you are interested in? If so, you could post in your state thread...
