I bred my Millie to a calico roo and it may be too soon to tell sex but a Cochin person said I had a few Roos and I’m looking to get opinions!

(Also have this copper maran and he is the only one in that pen who has a bright red comb so I’m assuming he is a roo since the other 11 marans hatched at the same time and have pale combs)

I think it's a bit early. None of the combs look prematurely large or pink (other than your Marans, I agree, cockerel) I would give it another 2-4 weeks for the cochins, they can develop early sometimes but I wouldn't place bets yet

Yeah I was like I suck at sexing Cochins especially my bantams so I don’t count pullets before I’m 100% sure which is often when combs get super pronounced or red or crowing or egg laying lol! if that marans comb is that bright and the others are the same age is safe to say I only have one too 😂😂 (probably not with my luck)

If you post a pic we can try and help, but they may be a little young still. I agree with you, although I have seen and heard that if theres multiple cockerels sometimes the one who is the second on the ladder will not be as developed (but still more than a typical pullet)
