Hi Rene, thanks for stopping by! I should have some Nn babies to share in a few weeks, got some eggs in my incubator. They really are adorable as chicks and pretty much all have been very laid back; my husband didn't like them at first but he has come around. Thank you for the well wishes for the heat issue

Thank you for the welcome IM! I'm looking at some of your first hatchings here in your thread and they are over the top cute! I don't know if my husband would ever come around, he's kind of set in his ways, likes & dislikes...lol! That doesn't matter though, it's my flock and I get to pick and chose what I want, well, as long as I don't get to many that is! My chickens all snuggle up close on the roost bars even though the weather is hot, so I'm sure I have room for a few more...there goes my chicken math...

Cuckoo and the Mille Fleur chicks

AC chicks. One is definitely a cockerel but I suspect they both are. They're difficult to photograph well in the shade.

Thanks! Frank lays in it and all the dogs eat it. We, like a lot of people, take a cooler full of ice and a gallon of water. There is no such thing as cool or cold tap water this time of year.

Have you heard of making an inexpensive cooler using a 5g bucket, ice and a fan! Here's a link to how it's done! In an outdoor situation, I would also try to insulate the outside of the bucket...just a thought!
