Hubs is working hard on me to get chickens, ugh. I’m not ready and I’m resisting. I need some time to get the yard done first and give things a chance to grow. In the meantime he’ll be building a garden arch in front of the door to the shade garden. I’m going to plant another Carolina jessamine there and grow it on the arch, square on top not round. Hopefully he’ll get that done this weekend. We’re also putting the new shredder thing together and reading through the instructions. I’ve got some stuff to run through it that has been sitting out to dry for a week or two. Now we can cut back the bougainvillea and get rid of the thorns too! My son and DIL got me this cute little solar duck for Christmas, I love it! I think it’s really a goose or a swan, but don’t care. The metal rooster used to sit here, but I moved him out under one of the bells of fire. Pardon the weeds.

Colored path lights. I have these in various places in the yard so I don’t trip and kill myself out there in the dark
