3 wee peeps now. I candled the remaining 4 and 2 were DIS so tossed them. The other 2 I helped out of their shells this morning before work. Those air cells were pretty big and it seemed like they may have been shrink wrapped a little bit. One is darker than the other 2, will get snaps before I put under mama tonight. No blood, yolks fully absorbed.

Shipped egg's are hard to hatch and have bad hatch rates. That's why when I was trying to find the SGD's, I didn't want them as hatching egg's. I see that I have one cockerel in that batch too. It has the black chest feather's coming in so I only have 6 pullet's, but that's enough. The lady I got these from said that she got them from Murry McMurry's.

Will you keep the cockerel so you can hatch more?

I plan on keeping all of them for now. I will also be mixing them into my Nn's. Hopefully that will give them nice full bodies and the longer leg's of the Nn's. I can also breed full SGD's, if they live through next summer's heat.
