Nice! We have clouds this afternoon to block the sun so it’s not as hot as anticipated. I’m good with that!

That’s pretty toasty for your neck of the woods Cavey. Yuck, stay cool! Are you doing anything special for your chickens?

Their run is in shade. I just make sure water is changed with cold tap water. Some, not all, are panting slightly, but other than that still munching on feed, and drinking.
We will be cooling down tomorrow, and next few days.
I actually enjoy sitting in back yard, with a gentle breeze in the shade. If I had to do physical work,,,, that would be a different story.

That’s good that it’s not too horrible for them, or you. I’m still giving ice daily, my red girl really doesn’t like the heat.

It really is! Also a nice change of scenery from the sun all the time.

Cloudy this morning; it was a bit warm overnight but we have a breeze now so not too bad out there. Cleaned the ducks pool with vinegar and a paper towel, they make a bathtub ring like you wouldn’t believe Gave Phoenix a little scratch this morning while nobody was looking. The rest realized it soon enough and chased him off, but he followed me so I was able to give him a little more without any of the piglets knowing. Waterers are topped off but I’ll have to clean them with some vinegar later. I’ve found that refilling the waterers at night gives the water a chance to cool overnight whereas it’s pretty warm coming from the tap.

Phoenix hatched 6/9 or 10 so he is almost three months old now. I heard him crow this morning My son said he’s a big boy but he seems pretty average to me.
