Funny story (:

I think we'll get it done. My mom is just eager to get them out of the house. They're making too much dust apparently lol. The ducks seem to be alright through all these storms we've had lately but I'd love to get them in a safer place so I wont have to worry about hawks.

I can understand completely my 4 EEs girls are spending their 1st day outside and will be sleeping in the coop tonight for the first time, they are a little over 4 weeks old.

I originally wanted EEs but my mom ordered before I had made my final decision (it started out as a school FFA project) so now we have RIRs and the Silkies. I realized last night that I'm only 17 and I have 27 "kids". Our house is like a petting zoo

I think I've finally decided. I'm going to name the male Lucky and the female Willow. (I would name her Lady but I dont like to use names twice and we've already had a Lady). I'll get some more pics up tonight. Willow thought it would be funny to wipe her beak on me after eating some banana... She just had to do it when I was wearing clean pants instead of the junky ones I normally wear out there lol

I always have something on my pants, usually it's mud. and now you can join the crowd I think most of us have our very own petting zoos and I love the name Willow.

I was trying to get a good pic of his feathers, if the light is right, they look purple.

He had corn on his beak lol

Shes so sweet(: This was actuallly a time when I didnt bring food and she still came up and chatted with me lol

Both of them are beautiful but the drake is down right handsome, and i think he knows it.

He is. I just wish I knew what was mixed to make them. Lucky is always mumbling to himself about something. I think hes telling himself how gorgeous he is lol

I just mentioned to my mom that Willow might lay eggs once she is in a safe place away from predators... She asked me what we would do with them. I told her we could eat them just like chicken eggs (or at least that was my impression) and she got the most disgusted look on her face

"Im not eating a duck egg, thats gross!" ...wow...

Tell her duck eggs are better for baking than chicken eggs. :D

I like Willow for a name, it suits her well.
