Barnacles jolted up. "What?" He cawed, swinging his head around so he could see her with his good eye. "Oh. You're not a gull." The old bird returned to preening his feathers, as if he hadn't just almost jumped out of his skin. "Shoulda known, you don't talk like one." He grumbled, and stopped preening for a second to look at her again. "The name's Barnacles, if that's what you want to know."Outcast gave a smirk in Ritz Cracker's direction. "I suppose I can speak to this half blind raven." She said, throwing Fish Sticks a wary glance as him questioned her on whether or not she was an outcast. "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. It is what I have been deemed to be called, so do please, call me Outcast." She tipped her head to him, as though daring him to ask more questions.
She suddenly whirled, taking flight before landing a short distance away, directly behind the white-eyed raven. "May I make a civil inquiry on whom you are?"
Fish Sticks leaned towards him in a way he thought was very inconspicuous. "Yeah. Even for a notgul." He whispered loudly.Ritz turned a sideways glance at Fish Sticks. "She talks funny," he said in a confidential whisper.
Storm hopped backwards. "Uhm... this is not what it looks like." His foot tapped the ground nervously and his eyes darted around for possible ways to escape."Leave the poor thing alone." Dusk said.
He turned around to this, and examined her carefully. He wasn't shaken, he was used to these kind of responses. Without saying a word, he batted his wings and flew up into the sky. For a few minutes he appeared to be gone, but then he circled back around and perched himself on top of a nearby building. He was going to watch.
Shard puffed out her chest and watched him go with satisfaction. "Maybe we should chase him." She suggested.
As Shard watched, the gull seemed to fly behind a building. "Actually, it looks like he's gone. And so are those non-members." She surveyed the surrounding area. Abruptly, she took off into the sky. "Follow me. I know the location of a deserter we might want to deal with..""Sure why not," Moonlight stretched and steadied a clever orange eye on the gull.
"Leave the poor thing alone!" Dusk said.Storm hopped backwards. "Uhm... this is not what it looks like." His foot tapped the ground nervously and his eyes darted around for possible ways to escape.
Storm swallowed fearfully. "Hey, uh, not to be rude or anything, but..." He awkwardly gestured to the dazed pigeon with a foot. "You're a raven. That's a pigeon.""Leave the poor thing alone!" Dusk said.
"He's already injured." Dusk said.Storm swallowed fearfully. "Hey, uh, not to be rude or anything, but..." He awkwardly gestured to the dazed pigeon with a foot. "You're a raven. That's a pigeon."
Outcast shot a disdainful glance over him, before tipping her own beak into her feathers. "Seems I don't." She murmured threw a mouth full of feathers. "I'm known as Outcast, and if I may ask, why are you, a raven, hanging out at the seagull's shore? The forest is a long distance away."Barnacles jolted up. "What?" He cawed, swinging his head around so he could see her with his good eye. "Oh. You're not a gull." The old bird returned to preening his feathers, as if he hadn't just almost jumped out of his skin. "Yeah?" Storm asked. When the raven continued to stare at him blankly, the young crow tried to explain further. "You know, the war. All bird races against each other...?" He was starting to think this raven might be a little dull."He's already injured." Dusk said.
