Fuzzy's Farm

I'm going to need a boat myself! The road just before ours is flooded over in 3 spots. Can't go the normal way into town because that spot is the deepest one so I have to go through the other 2 which aren't as deep. The road out on the other side of us is flooded over, too, so we have to go through water no matter which way we choose. We also have a vernal pond on the west portion of our property which is usually about the size of our living room, but it is now the size of large pond. It is all the way to the private road on our west, all the way to the front of the main road, and up to the back of our pole barn and old pig pen. Our yard slopes downward so it is spreading more to the back of the property than into our yard right now so I hope it stays that way.

Also, I work in the Lowell area and they are expecting the river to crest at 21ft Sunday. The last highest crest recorded was in 1948 at 19ft. They are setting up emergency shelters and passing out sandbags. They are expecting all of downtown to be flooded which means the post office, too. Not sure how it's going to effect mail delivery yet. I drove through there on my way home tonight and there are a lot of homes along the river right now that could literally open up their back door, take a step outside and go for a swim.

Hi Hanna, give the hen a day or two she will probably tell you if the other eggs are any good. She'll take the survivors out for food.

My DH made it home last night works out of Grand Rapids. Glad he got here. The terminal he works out of was under an evacuation order an noon today.. Don't know about his truck it is broke down in the shop. They can't work on it sooooo he will be home for a few days longer than expected.
You guys over in the west that sent a storm here earlier today that blew a semi over on I-94. Sure glad we didn't have to go that way.
Chickens were free ranging when that cloud unzipped and I never saw chickens run so fast for the coop. locked them back in after rain let up and everyone had dried of by time they went to bed.
Thankfully I was worried about birds being wet all night.
DH bought me a new drill today yippie! Hmmmmmmm now what kind of things can I get into building?

Hey Nova last I looked at the radar there was a big clearing over the lake. Hope it stays that way so some of you can wake up to less water instead of more. Still talking a t- storm or two here tonight. Weather channel says we only got .61" of rain in past 24 hours. I wished I had put my rain gauge out as I know I could differ with them.
