It was really cloudy today but the temp got up to 66°F. The first crocus of the year bloomed. Actually there were two of them but the yellow one looked the worse for the wear. I suspect "fowl" play as in turkeys.

I’ve been wondering if there is something we can use them for too! What do you sprout in them?We are always looking for ways to recycle and repurpose. We have been saving plastic berry containers for the day we could find a use for them. Over the winter we started sprouting oats and wheat for the flock (and us) in them and they work perfectly. We had been using sprouting trays before and they were messy and had too much waste. These are a one day serving and all the chaff flushes out of the container when watered. We also use mason jars with screen lids as starters and then dump them into the plastic berry containers to continue sprouting. This is probably not a new idea, but haven't seen it before.

I got my first daffodil bloom today but didn't take time to get a picture. We went to Lowes, Kroger, and Walmart. I cut the wood for my lean-to i'm building for the bunnies. Then painted it. Looking forward to getting that done.It was really cloudy today but the temp got up to 66°F. The first crocus of the year bloomed.
