Gender guesses on this Lavender Orpington chick?

I took more pics today. Is the lighting any better? This chick is 5 weeks and 3 days old today. :)
The lighting is better! You can see the feather shafts do have a more lavender color but the feathers sure are really light!! I am going to guess pullet just because both my boys had pretty distinct wattles by 5 weeks…and may still be a lavender but I wonder if it’s not pure lavender somehow? Gonna be pretty regardless! Orps always look a bit gawky to me from 4-7 weeks hehe and then bam, they look like beautiful Orps! 😍

Wow, they are so beautiful!!! 😱
Thank you!! :) Yeah the lacing is really pretty!! Her sister is a mottled version that the camera doesn’t do justice to at all. They are both super good chickens and act like mother hens to my younger pullets. My only issue would be actually selling them and not keeping all the babies 😆

I’m looking at the pics of your Lavender babies and have to say that mine was way more yellow in color initially.

Here is the chick at 2 days old with my young broody hen:

Here is the same chick at 2 weeks, 4 days old:
Oh she was quite yellow! I wonder if she is a splash then? This isn’t an Orpington obviously but I have one splash pullet that looked similar in color…more white undertones. Splash is a beautiful color on Orps if you got that instead. Just a bummer if you thought you were getting a lavender!

Your Splash is beautiful @kurby22 ! And wow, the comb looked rather prominent in the baby pic and yet it still ended up being a pullet! 🎉

And yes, I ordered and paid for Lavender Orpington hatching eggs and now I’m questioning. I can’t help but feel a little annoyed and cheated. :( I was assured that the Lavender Orpingtons were purebred and did NOT share accommodations with any other breed.
