Hiya bird peeps!

I have some youngsters that I'd love to get your opinions/thoughts about their genders on.

1st up is Raven (the black bird - never mind the photo-bombers, lol). (S)He's really flighty so I understand if the pic quality isn't good enough to tell. Anyway, I believe raven is a Black Cochin/Silver Spangled Hamburg cross and was hatched Feb 13 (so about 4 months old). I'm leaning pullet on this one, but her comb developed early and I would've sworn cockerel up until recently. Thoughts?

The next two are straight-run bantams (they look like cochins to me). First two pics are of Bumblebee, 2nd two are of Hummingbird. They're roughly 8-9 weeks old.

And the last set are two dark brahmas and two buff brahmas, rescued from an over-crowding situation. the previous owner got them from a shady guy and didn't know or care about gender so they're straight run (and looking a lot healthier BTW!) For some reason they were freaked out by my phone so I didn't get great pics. Some may be other same bird twice, but do any of them look like cockerels? 3 months old.

Thanks! I kind of would've liked a dark brahma rooster, but more girls never hurt!

Raven (the 1st one) has been throwing me for a loop since he/she hatched. Her comb developed early, but then plateaued (it's looked like this for weeks) and then last week I saw her potential father mount her 😑 All her hatch-mates were clearly part silkie with 5 toes, but Raven only has 4. But, she has dark (borderline black?) skin. I'm fairly certain her mother is a black cochin but father could be silkie, easter egger/cinnamon queen mutt, or the silver spangled hamburg.

Guess I'll just wait for the crow or egg, lol! The pictures don't do her justice though. She's got the lovely streaks of black-green and semi-naked legs but feathered feet; like she's wearing fluffy slippers! 😆

From her tail, she is definitely a pullet. She has rounded tail feathers, compared to a cockerel, who would have pointy sickle feathers by now. Usually cockerels start crowing when they are around 8-14 weeks old. Some girls just have more developed combs than others. Hopefully you get some nice eggs from her soon.
