I've watched videos, read forums, raised chickens... and I never seem to always determine every chick gender but I think I'm getting better. Who knows. So I would love input. I have 6 chicks that I have adopted. They are approximately 6-7 weeks old. 5 of them are very similar in that they were supposed to be Americaunas but are clearly not pure breed as some have yellow vs grey feet and we don't have cheek puffs or beards at this point. One of those has a brighter comb in comparison to the other 5. So I suspect that is a cockerel. I'm curious about male vs female patterning if anyone has the insight into that. The other suspect is a White Frizzled bantam. He seems to be developing waddles. Im attaching some pics, feel free to comment with your thoughts.

They look like cockerels.

Second one looks like a white cochin bantam to me. (I could be wrong though. I haven't had frizzles before) and I agree on both being boys.

Could possibly be. My identification is purely based on 2nd hand info. The eggs of 6 of my feathered friends were donated for a classroom embryology project and I offered to adopt the chicks that needed homes. The only ones the person wanted were the red stars and the “turkens”.

In total I have 13 chickens. If these are the only two boys I should have 11 girls but the older they get I have a suspicion that I may have a third. I could possibly separate.
That ratio could work. But, you should have a backup plan in case they fight or mate the hens too much, such as rehoming, separate bachelor pad, eating, etc.
