awww Wyandottes are my favorite. Unfortunately my dog killed the two I had, my daughter cried for weeks . The Wyandottes were aggressive towards new commers . It helped when I placed a small kennel in the coop and keep the new comers separate from the rest for a few weeks. I would let them all be together when I fed them and supervised the fighting. Hopefully your older chickens are more accepting of your babies when you put them togetherI am actually keeping two polish and one wyandotte together right now till they get old enough for me to introduce them to my older hens. Your silver laced polish is so pretty
She's SO CUTE!!! I think it really depends on so many dynamics within your flock. I got lucky and introduced my two Polish when they were only a few weeks old - and the big kids were only a month or so older than them. My polish I raised from chicks with two silkies and two Easter Eggers. They all got along beautifully. I then introduced a mixture of 12 different chicks to the whole flock and so far we have had no problems other than having to take out five roosters (with two or three still remaining including one polish roo. He is my splash and is the second in command to my very gentle MF D'uccle roo. My polish roo is tougher but has no problems in the flock so far. Both of my polish are confident chickens but not aggressive with humans or other chickens. Fingers crossed it stays that way!View attachment 1485703 View attachment 1485705 View attachment 1485706 View attachment 1485707 I have a silver laced polish hen. She is the swwwtest and friendliest thing. She does fine even with turkeys. I think it’s harder when you have to introduce them as new commers to an established flock. I tried it once before when I had silver laced Wyandottes and the Wyandottes kept pecking there head feathers out and chasing them non stop. I don’t know if it was the breed ?? The Wyandottes were pretty territorial. I had to get rid of the polish at that time
OMGGG! So Cute! Thats about the same age of my polishView attachment 1486069

At least they will be easy to sell but I agree.Mine are now 16 days old, and I want to separate out the ones I am keeping. Maybe I'll wait until they are older. There are 13 polish, 1 partridge brahma, and one cuckoo maran in the bunch. I'm keeping the last two and some of the polish. The person I was hatching the rest for said his kids are too busy to take them. I love when people do that. It will be easy enough to sell them, but still!!
