Sort of. They're very high in the trees though, so all you can really see is a couple of talons and a feathery shape or a faint silhouette.
But a bit lighter than that, I'd say. It wasn't sunny when we went hiking that time.
(Hiking up Mt Lofty in direct sunlight is a big ask

Oh, I love pigeons... what a hoot.
There are too many big cities in the US I've never heard of before. I was trying to list all the ones I knew the other day. I got to about 15 and gave up.
In Australia there are only about ten.
