Kasper, for one, was ready. He curled up on the floor near his sisters and mother and sighed, feeling contented.

Osprey gazed around at all the various corpses. I missed the fight. She thought, disappointed. For wolves that won’t even enforce their rank or chase out loners, most of this pack seems to be extremely homicidal. She smirked at the thought. What hypocrites they are!

Wild let out a huff. She was never going to be an upper mid ranker at this point, she couldn’t believe that nobody had noticed that she had saved a wolf and taken down one while she was injured

"Come eat then." She gently licked Dove and nuzzled her soothingly. She then laid down so her pups could enjoy dinner.

(Realistically, pups of Kasper's age would be weaned by now, and maybe eating small pieces of meat hunted by the pack. But this works!)
