I'd say it depends on how your skin scars and allergies.
ANY slight little thing scars my skin. I've got a scar on my left index finger where I scraped it nearly 15 years ago. Donated plasma, yup, scar... that earns me some weird looks lemme tell ya! I would have to decline the nose pierce because if I decided to take it out later I'd be left with a scar. Most would probably just assume an acne scar, but still. Not something I'd want to have to explain to a prospective employer. With navel, tongue... those if you take them out no one knows. But nose/brows/cheeks are clearly visible for life.
Me? I'm allergic to nickel, including surgical steel. Even the staples used in OR set my skin off. But if you don't have allergies, green light.
Also, the nose is a really icky place... the thought of purposely putting an open wound in it kinda whigs me out. But, that is me.
You know your immune system, your allergies, and your taste.

it takes alot for me to scar up. deep, wounds.
and the nose is kinda gross...from Nicola's sitch, and hearing of so many other's, i dnt want it no more
The fact your so easily talked out of it says your prone to impulse, and it seems a troubled naval piercing was a result of it too. Do yourself a favor and try to not act on such impulses especially when it comes to your body.
A lot of people turn piercings and tattoos into fads and fashions getting things without really thinking on impulse and really end up regretting it later.
I dont know how they keep nose rings clean when they have a flu or cold...imagine the mess!
I had to laugh at the leash comment! Other than that, I would imagine them as a big bull in the pasture with a big nose ring! That would signify "bulliness" or "fertile bull"!

OMG! That's . . . yeah. I normally don't feel sorry for people that get stoned and do stupid stuff, but ouch.
I actually like how nose rings look on a lot of people -- probably because my first exposure to them was this lovely Indian woman I babysat for as a teenager. She looked so amazing in those beautiful saris on special occasions.
My nose isn't really shaped in such a way that it would look good with a nose ring, plus I am pretty laid back, but I almost always manage to look like an uptight librarian. *sigh* So I just admire them on other people when they look good.
Some of the other piercings I'm not too fond of and I'm not a big fan of tattoos, but I have seen some truly beautiful ones.
