Sadly, Celtic was not able to coordinate things on her end to receive her trio of adults, so they are now with my group until I can ship them out... hopefully in 2 weeks!

Sorry things are so busy this week for you, Shellie... I was however, more lamenting the fact that I have to wait another two weeks and go through the catching/boxing/hauling to airport game one more time to officially conclude this mission. At least I have your trio merged with my group so my side yard is finally empty and the total number of geese on property has gone from 84 to 36, which is way more manageable.

On a different note.... I have an update on Spirit. Spirit's mobility has been going downhill with the grass dying off, and as much as I'd like to wait until deep winter to do surgery, Spirit cannot wait that long. Surgery is now scheduled for Nov. 6th.

I am so excited to be getting my ganders! All of our neighbors are so curious, as nobody around here raises ducks, much less geese. They will be the talk of our little town, I'm sure. Once they are here and all settled in, I will take some great pictures and put them up on here for everyone to see. I have to admit I'm a little nervous, but it's a good nervous. I've worked so hard on their new house, and I hope they really like it and soon feel at home in it.

Janet, it was great to talk to you yesterday! I'm sure I will be asking for lots of advice in the future from you and Shellie, and everybody else on this thread.

It's been quite the adventure for you, Janet, since you hitched up your trailer and went off to rescue all these geese. Now, the adventure is about to begin for me.

Lydia, the plan is to break bones in Spirit's foot and reset with hard plaster cast. I don't think Dr. Echols will attempt correction on the 90 degree rotation in leg bone, though. We won't know exactly until the day of surgery and can review current xrays.
