Got my first Trio of Sebastopols babies(pics Update)

I think it does depend on the particular goose a LOT from what I see others say.

My Africans were wonderful, sweet, and I was always Mama Goose, I guess. They would come up and stand in front of me and beg for hugs. If I hugged them gently, they pressed their necks close. They would nibble at jewelry or things that didn't belong and try to "remove" it for me. Their eyes are sharp and their grooming attentive! They became hissy with strangers when grown, but even during breeding season were fine with me. They would let me examine eggs and nest, etc. without protest.

The Chinese I had at the same time had a slightly more aggressive personality, but not bad.

I have Toulouse from Metzer's. Female only -- no ganders. I find the temperament to be laid back, quiet, and a bit shy. Not overly friendly at all, but also not overly aggressive. I think I've been hissed at once, half-heartedly, by one Toulouse goose, and she's an early breeder in my flock and everyone else (geese included) were hissing and she joined in. These geese are less than a year old so I don't have much experience with them yet.

I really miss my Africans though.

Oh, and congrats on the little Sebbies!!! They are precious.
