Ok. A cc is the same as a ml. So at 200mg/40mg (which is 1/4 of the strength of the tablet that I have), the 100lb goat would need 2cc, or 2ml, or less than half of the 1/4 tablet. 1/8 of a tablet per 100lbs.
Which still doesn’t get me to 13lbs.
Ok, that's the difference. PDF I found was for the AlbonSulfadimethoxine (albon from vet) is different than sulfamethoxazole (cattle tablets from neighbor).
If you trust this info, let's see how close we can get...
It says there is 200mg sulfa drug in 5ml of solution
That means there is 40mg in 1ml or 1cc of solution
Dose is 2cc per 100lbs (80 mg)
1cc per 50lbs (40 mg)
.5cc per 25lbs (20 mg)
.25cc per 12.lbs) (10mg)
Does this make sense? It does not seem like enough.
Where was that info from that you circled?
So diluting like you were saying, 1/8 in 10 oz of water and giving a one ounce dose sounds right.1/8 of a tablet is 100mg
So there's the problem... did they report the amount in suspension properly? We are deriving the dosage from that amount, so if it's incorrect...Circled info was from the tennesseemeatgoat link.
