Beth update she is doing well getting around pretty good leaving the bandage alone only had to say her name and no a couple three time for her to leave it alone. So no CONE OF SHAME (big booming announce type of voice) for her. We go back Monday at 9 .

hahaha I have 4 like that right now. One tore my hand UP today.  Remember the apple spitter that i got in spring  ? she was an egg eater. now she is broody.  

Mine has very dark legs, no feathers. 


I have an egg eater or two....... I was getting 9-10 eggs a day...... Nothing for the last 4 days, but goop in the bottom of the nests!!!! Time to make roll away nests again!

I tried the roll out nests and the hens refused to use them would lay the eggs on the floor instead. Also tried the fowl stuff bucket nests they wouldn't even go in them. Still have 6 in the coop collecting dust and misc. But no chickens.

I don't get Dr. Pol on my TV package! My Mom likes him though.

I put the womb back in a ewe one time. She had tripletts, and her contractions didn't stop until she prolapsed. It was cold as hell in the barn that night. I washed off the mass with water and antibacterial soap. Then coated it with sugar and proceeded to replace it. It took about an hour. The ewe was not in much pain because we drenched her with about a pint of whiskey. After I got the uterus back in, we stood her on a ramp so her butt was about a foot higher than her head. Then a sling under her belly kept her from laying down. She actually lived. And nursed the lambs until we took her to the livestock auction

The only time we had a ewe that had triplets that were all ewes......
