I have really curly wavy frizzy hair. If I wash it too often, it dries out and gets frizzier. Flip side is I can't comb it when it's dry or I end up looking like Roseanne Roseannadanna.

That is exactly how my sons hair is . very tight banana curls til its washed and brushed ! what do you do with that stuff ?

I have the curly hair. If I sleep on it, it looks like crap. If I don't wash it every day and condition the heck out of it, it'll mat up into a rats nest right quick.

I just try not to anger the beast.

Keep it just long enough to braid or pull back into a fuzzy pony tail. Mine isn't quite as bad as Roseanne's. Lost quite a bit in these middle years. Little more manageable now.
