Granny I had to laugh, many years ago my SIL married a English man. They of course have different meanings to words that we use so it can be pretty funny having a conversation. They're foods are different as well. My SIL brought a item to Thanksgiving many years ago from England. It was a favorite of her Hubby's. It came in a can and was called Spotted Dick :lau To this day I don't know what it is, but we laughed so hard we cried when she showed us the can. Will have to ask York about it tomorrow, she will know.

Do you know how confused i was with your post lisa ? SIL to me was son-in-law.

I have heard of spotted dick. I dont remember what it is either. sounds like it needs a dr.

Several years ago we had a young lady from England come to work at our camp. Several times a summer we have to stay up late making 100+ sub sandwiches. We do it like an assembly line, and I gave the Brit a big stack of cheese slices to cut into triangles. After a few minutes she said "Ok! I've cut the cheese!" And I started giggling. And she looked at one of the other girls and said "What's funny? I've just finished cutting the cheese..." And then we all got the giggles. It took me about 20 minutes to catch my breath and explain. And we're still very good friends to this day. :love

My soup is gone. I did give the legs and thighs back to where they came fro. LOL so the breast meat was all that went in but it was plenty. I started complaining before they had a chance too. Its too salty. To my surprise,Tom says, no its not, its good. And he ate 3 bowls ! My son sat at the table for a change and he ate 2 bowls ! Sitting there thinking what a wonderful meal and I asked Robert would you like more ? he replied ,"Only if you want me to become completely dehydrated ". :he    DD and GS came over and I asked if they would like some . DD says, GS dont like chicken noodle. I said, well he likes mine . He ate 2 bowls. hahaaaaa
Granny I love Roberts sense of humor. He's only been learning from the master for 22 years.
