Evening, all!
@rIrs roost -- so sorry to hear about your gran, keeping her in my thoughts.
@enola - I think the moderation from certain moderators can be rather heavy handed and reactionary at times, I'd much rather read some straight shooting from you than some of the ridiculous drivel that gets posted on here by others. I've had my hand slapped a time or two myself, mostly due to my low tolerance of bull-pucky.
@granny hatchet - what ARE we going to do with you? Do you keep track of your sugar throughout the day at all or is it more a go by how you feel and hope you catch things in time as needed?
Been a very pleasant day here today - the weather is beautiful.....cloudy and cool, some of my favorite weather. Took the boy to town for errands - met up with DH for lunch and then boy and I went shopping. That little buggar has shot up AGAIN so it was time to replace the high-water pants he had -- don't know what I'm going to do with this string bean. He's taller than DD now (a point he reminds her of often) and I think has overtaken me now as well. So, got him some pants - and some shirts (turns out he's now decided his new look will be a flannel over a t-shirt - it's fun to watch them start to develop their own tastes). Hit up the grocery store and did a "real" shop (complete with meal plan and list) so maybe I can make it through the week without having to make stops after work - had slacked off on the planning and found myself scrambling every day, or having a lot of sandwich nights, got tired of it and committed to getting back on some semblance of a plan and doing some actual cooking.
Anyone do straw bale gardening? Thinking I may be able to use that to get around the fact that the soil here SUCKS (granny can attest to that). May even try to have best of both wolds and put a raised garden in the center of a frame made by bales - fill that with some black gold from Mt. Volpoopius (the compost pile of horse and now chicken poo) - and then I can grow in the bales and in the dirt in the center.
