In theory, an un-neutered male is best. Their marking and urine odor says "everything beyond this smell is MINE". They also tend to protect a much larger perimeter. Females are more apt to attract if not spayed, won't urine mark their property lines, just don't want predators near what they feel they need to protect.

The only problem with a male would be if a female coyote is in heat she could "distract" him away and then if they are packing up like they sometime do up here you could end up with a dead dog. Farmers/ranchers have actually lost yearling calves to coyote packs here in north Dakota.

FINALLY caught up. BYC being exceptionally difficult tonight.

Robert one of the guy's living on the farm and helps out at the motel. Was bleeding from his ear today took over and hour to convince him go to the ER. They did something and packed the ear and sent him home. Told him if still bleeding come morning to come back. He is on Kumidian (blood thinner) . Trimmed a bunch more trees today looks like a tornado went through the place. LOL

Well almost 11:30 and I haven't eaten today need to find something to eat and then shower and bed.

Sweet Dreams and Warm fuzzies (the good kind) prayers for those in need.
