it does dip into the teens once in awhile but we usually stay in the 30s
i thought it was warmer there in winter..gets pretty cold here..

None of my Easter pullets have laid yet.I keep rattling the gumbo pot at them, but no luck.
I gotta do something. Might be getting some real baby silkie chicks in the next couple of days. I'm not quite understanding the sq feet per chicken thing. But if I'm right it should hold around 5 chickens. Does that sound right?
How much run would I need Jane. 240 ft? If I went with 12 chickens would that give them enough room if the had to stay in the coop a day or two?2 sq ft/chicken. 4X12-48/2-24chickens
