Try thinning the egg with water so that it isn't so sticky and thick. If you have an egg beater take a whole egg and add 1/2 as much water, and beat it. The whole egg is good for him, and raw is fine. Just refrigerate the leftovers and let it come to room temperature. Use a new egg every day. I hope he is getting stronger.
this is probably why he aspirated. that yolk was pretty thick. it was the last thing i gave him to eat last night. thank you hun.

I have one egg put in one the 9th and 4 that are on day 5 i think. they are all fertile. I kinda wish i didnt . I dont want to do this again. if it is piped in the wrong end i dont think i will help.

I was going to try a tube feed but it was just to small so i used the syringe thinking i could just put a drop in his mouth seeing as i had it open and the yolk ready.

this has been the longest day... thinking on a small serama coop, ginger bread style. candy , frosting, the works. i cant decide on a style. the dog house sitting on a run looks really hard to clean. I cant be bending over to reach for poo. any one have a style that works for them in the easy dept. ?

well, I just lost power for an hour fifteen, bator was at 78 and humidity shot way up to 65 from 30. not sure if i said last night but i candled and the 4 eggs are all looking good and the 5th one is on track as well. it was put in on the 9th. lets hope no damage was done.

So sorry about unable there granny but as far as I am concerned you went way beyond what most would do for a chick. Starting to get ready for turkey day only have 7 or 8 over this year. One wonted to know what she could bring I said nothing but if you insist on "helping" come over the night before and help clean/dust the dinning room area. LOL I haven't had little dust bunnies for years I get woolly mammoths instead. Sometimes even the vacuum is afraid of them. The joys of hard wood floors and 3 to 4 dogs. Chin up there granny!!!

7 people sounds like a lot to me. I bought 3 cornish rock. they are very tiny. bought some already made salads, mashed, ect... box of stuffing, jar of gravy. probably take about an hour to fix dinner. Them dust bunnys can be scary when your not expecting them. they do sneak attacks . at least we named the little guy right. he was truly unable. I am glad i had him as long as i did. I never held something so tiny. It was an experience i hope to repeat. what is for desert Twist???
