Have a good night wishing. Talk to you later tonight.

Granny you said something about using pine straw. Can I use that? Do the chickens pick up chiggers from that. Probably a dumb question because they walk in it all the time. Sure would save us some money. Any of y'all think it would be ok to use. ? If so, I won't buy hay no more.

I do not recommend pine straw for the coop. I raked some up once for the bottom of the coop once, and it was awful. It was not absorbent at all. Made a huge mess. For the bottom of the run, mixed with leaves and grass, I'm sure they'd have a great time scratching around!!

Thanks camping. I wish it was good because we'd have an endless supply lol.

I know! :/ Us too. We let the grass grow really high and cut it, then I'd rake that up like hay. I think the long grass helped keep the chicken from scratching it bare. I still have a beautiful yard and get lots of compliments from buyers.

hi shrubs are planted ! looks good. need some mulch . maybe they will still have it come pay day. LOL Red, your up to 12 ! your painting as you go. looks good to me.

Finally caught up somewhat. Hurting pretty good right now. Got some done on the coop today. Pearl post some pics.
I really want to comment on a lot of stuff but I just can't. Sorry please forgive me. I'll try on what I can remember. Granny I've attached the gate with conduit clamps so we can raise both sides to rake. Twist I thought the building to coop for me to stay in when pearl gets mad at me was our little secret. That really hurt my feelings. Now everyone knows. Chicken lady thanks for trying to find the pic of the chick. And thanks for the comments on the coop. I'm going to put bicycle tires on the top of the swing so we can lay it on its side, grab the legs and roll it around. Hope that works anyway. Never seen it done or ever tried it like that but guess I'll see.

it looks good red you got a lot done

Thanks granny. Maybe in a week or three I'll be done. You know of anyone putting bike tries on the top of the swing and turning it on it's side and rolling it where ever they want to move it? I'm thinking it'll work ok but I'm not sure. Anyone ever seen this done?
