LOL - so true. I was told once, many years back, that I should try my hand at that craft, by a friend who worked the same day-job I did - but I have NO dancing ability and even though at the time I had the body for it would not have been able to actually do it. These days I think I could probably do reverse stripping - take off all my clothes and get people to give me money to put things back on

I have used hay for years and have yet to have a single issue of impacted crop, lost bird, etc (knock on wood now that I said it). If you are worried about it straw can be a better option as it is less appetizing to them as something to ingest. I make use of the hay the horse is too picky to eat by putting it in the run and using it in the nest boxes - have used it inside the coop itself previously. @granny hatchet - if you need more Andy at Clifty Garden Center is a great place to get good, quality stuff pretty cheap (not sure what you paid today).

I bought the first one from him. $6. I got these just down the road for $5.
