That's not the chick count, that's my total. But I've been studying chicken math a good bit, so here it goes:

Layers = 13
Roos = 2
Brooders = 29 babies, 10 juvies
54 altogether.

But you subtract anything in the brooders.
54 - 39 = 15

Subtract any roos.
15 - 2 = 13

Subtract any broodies.
13 - 1 = 12

Subtract any silkies or bantams.
12 - 0 = 12

SO I really only have 12 chickens.

Great news about the hatches. Chitlens, happy to hear somone else is suffering from cold feet and crazy weather.
Tom has crossed the rainbow bridge. He was going downhill fast, we thought it would be best to have him put down. He was a sweet baby boy who had a good life till the end. He wanted the extra days of life, so we granted him that one favor. He didin't want to leave so we gave him another dose. Hopefully, he met his brother on the bridge. Thank you baby, for all that you did. You took a piece of my heart with you today, Please wait for me to return to you.

the first chick almost sounds like wry neck. is the same vitamins in poli-vi-sol as what you are giving ?   I really dont know about the polish. Yorkshire coop would be a good one to ask about that. its about all she raises. 

It's the sav-a-chick vitamins and electrolytes. It doesn't look like the videos of wry neck that I've seen, but maybe it's just not bad yet.

I've made sure to watch it eat and drink. It seems more energetic today than yesterday, but those bitty babies all sleep so much. It makes me nervous.

Campingshaws, I LOVE your point of view. I did the same thing with my rabbits .

Take the total rabbits and subtract the ones that are rescues.

37- 30= 7

Therefore, I only have 7 rabbits.
