Aww that's too bad, that hardly buys you a pack of smokes. I have 12 more Swedish Flower eggs in the incubator from they same breeder. I had such a bad hatch rate of the ones I bought and from the batch she hatched that she replaced the doz. On day 7 they were all going strong. They are on day 10 today. I think I have a buff ORP going broody. If she sits good for a couple of days I will give her a few to hatch.I got rid of 5 seramas today and put a 10$bill in my pocket . LOL so much for making money on seramas. 2 roosters were wry tail, 2 hens one for a trade of a candy corn polish rooster and one i gave to her just because. and a baby rooster about a month or so.
I am absolutely dreading it, this year my doctor is doing both SI joints, 3 faucet joints on both sides of the lumbar region & some in the thoriac region if the others go well. She does one area at a time, otherwise it would be way too painful. Other than the little bit of Novicane in the injection area you are feeling everything. This allows them to guide the needle to the most painful area.oowch !!! thats not happening !!
I had 7 go to lockdown but only one hatched. She and a friend of hers had a difficult hatch with them as well. I'm hoping this time it will be different. She gave me 3 more pure Silkie eggs as well. I have awful luck hatching those. Then to end up with 1 and have it die with momma made me so mad. Momma is doing much better. She still has a lot to learn about taking the babies in when bad weather presents itself, but she is learning. She is awesome doing everything else though. There isn't anything those chicks won't eat. If it is too large she will pick small pieces & drop it to the chicks. This morning after it quit raining she unearthed a worm for them. One chick took off running with it but then couldn't figure out how to eat it, so she came over and bit it into small pieces and then dropped them for the chicks to eat. It is so much fun just sitting and watching them.she replaced them for you ? that was nice. I would love to have a few of those but my hatching rate sucks. I dont think my rooster will make babies. LOL
that sounds like fun watching them. I have never had a mama with chicks .
I have momma & babies in a separate coop, but I had some of the babies run thru a hole in the fence and get in with the main flock. They never went after them thankfully.I wanted to try it but wont the other chickens pick on them? guess it dont matter now anyway. need to downsize .
