hello all made it thru and video adds only locked up mu computer 4 times in 8 pages.
Cool thing happened on Monday. Drove out to farm to do some more fencing. There in the fence already put up is a snapping turtle laying eggs. Of course your had to go say hi mom turtle just pulled her head and legs in so he gave her a snuffel then Beth had to bulldoze her way in and stick her snout in the neck hole to see what was there good thing she is quick and momma turtle was tired and slow. don't think Beth will be sticking hen head into turtle holes to see what's going on in there again. All Beth lost were a couple wiskers. Ticks are winning the battle!!! Frontline +'ed all the dogs on sunday and Beth brought in 20 plus ticks with her Monday night. Thought I had everyone tick checked before going to bed. NOPE after the fourth one woke me up by crawling across my exposed body parts (first 3 were flushed) I was so exhausted the I just bit the last one in half and spit it out.
Last night was tick free
but then we didn't go to the farm either. So let the little ones out in to the maternity ward area and before we left Nephew (bigfoot) went down to start getting them back in coop and managed to crush one that was hiding under some button weed. So now down to 102 chicks. Almost done with setting the railroad ties 1 we missed and then some for gates. Now just about 1/4 mile of t-posts and round wooden ones (with point on one end) to put in and we use the bobcat to push them into the ground. Then barb wire to string and stretch and sucker rod to hang on the ties. Have planted about 150 ties so far this past 2 weeks.
Good news every one (best Professor Farnsworth impersonation) So IN the past 14 day I have bought from Menard's 4 pallets of cement. Which of course went on sale Last sunday for 55 cents a bag less. Now 55 cents may not sound like much but when you are talking about 224 bags of cement is adds up. Tues I went in and asked what their policy was and they gave me an in store credit for the difference. 131.00 and change. Not every store will do that. We emptied 2 rooms of furniture to carpet cleaners could do their job on Tues and then loaded them back up this morning. I think that's all that going on around here. Also rained all day on Tues. Those ties should be sprouting/budding toy train sets soon can't wait until harvest.
