Just now in the yard she hollered and made them stop. I threw out my arms in blessing and said "Mount away, boys!" Then when she got flustered I stuck my finger in her face and said "I. WANT. CHICKS."

The boys are starting to fight each other over the hens. When one roo mounts, the other chases him off. There's 8 hens for each roo, just not enough I guess.

thats just typical roo behavior . they dont want it til a different one does then they have to

My hubs always says poor chickens when the rooster mounts the hens, and he's just a tiny Serama. Good thing we don't have ducks!

I guess my little is house broke now. except for the fact he is running around with no britches on and cant keep his hand off of it. scratching his but then hold his hand out for a cookie. Didnt he just turn 2 ?

Sounds like someone needs a nice sudsy bath!

Had a lovely visit from DD and her fiance last night - they had made a trip down to visit his dad in Ohio so they came by on their way back up North --- just in time for dinner, go figure, lol.....sounds like DD is missing mama's cooking. I think DS and I are going to make a trip up their way on Friday - look forward to getting to see the new house now that they are all moved in (only saw the outside the day we dropped off DD's horse as the old tenant was still living in the house) and, admittedly, I'm also looking forward to seeing Aero -- who knew I'd miss that big, hairy brat?

LOL - I said that the other day when watching yet another boy walk down the street with his pants around his *** and his hand on his junk (holding his pants up????) -- I was like, "Has there suddenly been some sort of rash of penises falling off or something? Everywhere I look you see boys walking around holding onto their's for dear life"
