probably better then what i have been coming up with.Well, scratch my flimsy run idea, granny. You have way too many chicken-eating varmints around there.

I seen that too wishing, but i thought it was from being pooped on. You know, I see feathers in the coop but i never see my chickens looking like a molt. the most i have seen is the back from a rooster.
Quote: Too hard to give the proper dose with the pellets, the Safeguard liquid for goats would be better. Also dust them for mite and lice with a proper poultry dust or 5% Sevin powder.

Quote: Make sure you give enough Tylan. Not positive, but I think the oral dose you should shoot for is 0.23 cc *per pound* twice a day.

She is beautiful! I hope your sick ones get better soon. Sorry you had to come home to such a mess this is why I don't like to go anywhere. Now that I've seen everything in the daylight, I could just cry.The coop has been cleaned, I can tell, but they used pine straw instead of shavings. There's a big bag of shavings on the back porch, unopened. The yard was covered in moldy food scraps. The run was FILTHY and smelled awful. The feeders are all full of damp feed. Two of the sick girls have been sleeping underneath the roosts and are covered in poop. There's just a lot of work to be done. So I got in a cleaned a few things before the baby woke up. The pox appears to be all gone. And one of my baby pullets looks so much like a hen now! Here's a picture of her.
My sick two are bad off and I don't even know what to do with them. Considering culling.

Many things can look like Marek's, so don't dwell on that. Instead you should focus on keeping them warm, treating the probably respiratory infection and ridding them of external and internal parasites. It will definitely be a while before I leave for any length of time. Or without proper instruction... that's on me. I should've had the kids come over a few days early and just walk them through everything. Poor things.
I think they did a fine job overall. We had a few big storm systems move through while I was gone, which blew a few things around the yard, dropped lots of limbs and leaves, etc. It was raining yesterday, which could be why all the feed was wet. I was just a little overwhelmed seeing it all this morning.
Someone suggested to me that my hens might have Marek's. I'll have to keep reading about that, I guess.
