past my bedtime. wishing, hope your hen is ok. the rest will dry soon and you can get busy on them. may need to up their iron for a min. from the lice. buy them some  spinach or chicken livers maybe. mmm... that sounds good. night all sweet dreams :frow

Sweet dreams to you too granny.

Hope you haven't floated away today with all this rain we got - I would almost rather see snow than rain at this point, SO tired of sloshing through the muck to get to/from the barn. This darn Indiana clay makes for some nasty, boot sucking mud (I threw a shoe today, lol, made for one wet, COLD foot because I was already committed to the step when I realized my boot wasn't there anymore).

I also paid 6 dollars for one of them solar things people are sitting on the dash of their cars. most are flowers waving . mine is a chicken head swinging back and forth. cant wait til its fully charges. I am so far gone.:cd

Lol I have a chicken a owl and a flower!
Hope your Rooster gets better.

I have seen a chicken frozen to the ground. I think she got stepped on by my milk cow and laid there all night. When it rained on her feathers they froze to the ground. I cut her wing feathers loose with my pocket knife and took her to the house. She laid up under the wood cook stove for a couple of hours. She finally limped out. We filled her up with corn bread and put her back in the hen house. She limped for a couple of weeks, but was fine by spring.
