looked again at you pen  if I am not being to forward would suggest maybe stapling some cardboard around the bottom so they don't scratch/kick the bedding all over you floors.   Might also help with drafts.

just sitting here watching the pups try to burrow under their mom as the top row of dinner plates seem to be empty the contortions and waving legs and fighting when 1 got a bottom dinner plate up and accessable.

those are my outside brooders that are in the barn. see the white garbage bag on the top? that falls down and covers the whole cage. and to answer your question you bad boy, more then you can count but never 5 at a time. Enola, just the black one. polish mama and who knows what daddy.. bet the pups are growing big ! they must take after (insert name here) .

the bad thing about this is I startle so easy. and i will be waking up stuffy. why didnt i just leave them be? for a tiny rooster he sure has a loud crow.

Right now I am sitting in the living room chair with a dog on each side of me and the cat laying across the back of the chair. We all wish Mike would hurry up and come home!

I think all 3 are roos. roosters are silver winged phoenix, swedish flower (crested) and cream leg bar (crested) so where the world is the black chicks crest? only white eggs i have. find out if they are all the same probably by in the morning.

If your legbar rooster only has a puny crest, he may only have one cresting gene. He may not have passed the crest gene to the chick.
