that was a good thought about the roo being swollen so it hurts to tilt the head back. I wouldnt of thought of it. Im sure you are right. thank you.

I'm behind as usual, poor Roos been thru the ringer. Hope he gets better. Sounds like your having a heck of a night!
 
Candled last night (day 14) and I had one with no development since last week, but the other 10 looked great. I guess. I don't actually know. Eggs were about half full with dark mass.

Hopefully you'll get some eggs soon. 2 of my big girls started up last week. Got 3 Welsummer eggs and one blue from an Ameraucana. I do not have high expectations for bountiful eggs as most of the hens will turn 3 yrs in March. The Serama are laying like gangbusters, but I'm sure it will be short lived and then I will have 9 broodies and no eggs!
