remember as a child watching a movie where in the future all you had to do was swallow a pill and you had dinner. no more cooking, dishes, food poisoning , you know, all the normal stuff that goes on in the torture chamber. I was so excited when i seen it. thought surely by now someone would of came with it.

I wish they would, cooking is way over rated in my book. Used to love doing it, but not anymore.

Some people like to do it. Twisted acres is a great cook. Nice recipes. My mom always told me men make much better cooks. I am lost in there. I dont know what to do with half them dodads in the drawers. even my grandson cooks. he is 15. He made some spaghetti ( i love spell check) and I was so impressed I got a glass of tea and proceeded to add the dinner to my glass of tea. he was not pleased when i told him i was trying to liven the flavor up some.

well, I am off to the land of nod. hope everyone has a great night !!

Well granny,my silkie hatch didn't go well (I will call them my Serama hatch). 12 chicks went into lockdown all moving. On the very end of day 19 my first pip happened. Just after midnight next day 1 chick hatched others pipped. Midday of day 20 2 other chicks hatched & 3 pipped thru the side of the eggs & died. Day 21 another chick pipped, today, day 22 today last chick hatched. The 2 day old chicks were causing real trouble picking on the 3rd chick so when the 4th hatched today I moved them to the brooder coop. I candled the remaining 5 eggs. There was no movement or internal pips. When I eggtopsied all 8 eggs tonight, they were all full grown. Three layed sideways in their shell and the other 5 were bent in the middle with their feet & head down in the pointy end of the shell. Just not certain what went wrong.

Sunset, sounds like my husband as well. he does it for me but rather not.  sounds like you have a nice flock going on there. No cleaning done here. I think my coops are cleaner then the house. How the world people handle 6 kids is beyond me. I have a temp. helper. he is 8 and likes what he is doing but he dont want me to come with so I slip out later and make sure all is well.
